resources)
S: (adj) careful, thrifty (mindful of the future in spending money)
"careful with money."
Have you noticed how everyone wants your money? Companies spend millions of
dollars each year on research to determine what slogans, words, colors,
pictures, etc. will get you to buy their products. Everywhere we go
we are put in a position to spend money. At home the television
blares out attention getting commercials. At the store music plays
to relax our mind and eye catching displays are shouting “buy me”.
For those of
us that like living debt-free it is an everyday struggle. We try to make
the best use of our resources so our families are well cared for. But
this doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy ourselves. It doesn’t mean that all
of life’s pleasures must be omitted. Thrifty can be fun! It's fun to
have things you want when you can afford them, and you know that the
sacrifice you made yesterday helped you achieve today’s purchase. People
of all incomes can be thrifty. Being thrifty is a state of mind. It also
means you have a concern for the resources of our planet. Being thrifty
isn’t easy. You have to work hard both mentally and physically, but it's
worth it!
The same
thrifty approach we use in our everyday life can be used toward enjoying
our scrapbook hobby. The Thrifty Scrapbook was designed to be an
educational website. Helpful tips, product usage, unique layouts, and
sharing of ideas are all presented here…..but with a twist!
What makes
this website different from other scrapbooking sites? EVERY page
will show you ways to save money. No more surfing the web for hours on
end just to get one idea here and another idea there. Stop searching
through all the forums and blogs for a single tip. Come back to the
Thrifty Scrapbook. This is the ultimate scrapbook site for saving money,
keeping on your budget, and learning to be a THRIFTY SCRAPBOOK cropper.
Happy "Thrifty" Scrapbooking!
